PROPERTY sales at Glasshouse Mountains Estate are starting to soar.
Developer Ingles Group, which is now one of the nation’s largest privately owned developers, has sold 34 of the 76 small-acreage lots in the $20 million Glasshouse Mountains Estate. Selling more than one a week since the start of the New Year.
The community sits 20 minutes drive from Caloundra and 50 minutes north of Brisbane’s CBD, lots in the estate range in size between 1966sqm and 2631sqm.
Ingles Group bought the 36.34ha development site in December 2003 because of the increasing popularity of the Glass House Mountains region with home buyers.
It officially launched the new residential community in April last year and its popularity has been growing steadily since.
Managing director Graeme Ingles said the rate of sales was pleasing but not surprising.
``From our point of view, Glasshouse Mountains Estate was always going to be popular because it is close to both Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast whilst lands prices were competitively price,’’ said Mr Ingles.
``Our land prices range from $180,000 to $235,000 and we also have a selection of Federation-style house and land packages soon to be released for sale.
``The house and land packages have been attracting a great deal of interest from buyers, because we essentially provide a one-stop shop and they are still able to build the home of their dreams.
``We were also able to offer people larger block sizes and, sites that offer amazing views of the Glass House Mountains in an area in which quality land estates are becoming increasingly hard to find.
``As a result we are now starting to experience a rush in demand.’’
