The Ingles Group has appointed a property industry specialist and has opened a sales office to support its $150 million Macquarie Downs Estate in Redbank Plains.
The Ingles Group has transferred former Gladstone-based sales manager Helen Dunne to take control of Macquarie Downs Estate Stage 2.
Ms Dunne, who was previously overseeing Ingles’ New Kaleentha Heights project in Gladstone, moved to Ipswich during the Christmas break to take up her new position with the Ingles Group two weeks ago.
Ms Dunne has worked in the property industry for 14 years, with roles ranging from acquisitions to marketing and sales.
“I am still finding my way around Ipswich but the potential for the region is tremendous,” she said.
“The property in the area is still very reasonably priced and it sits in the middle of a large growth corridor. It’s just going to be brilliant.”
In November last year the Ingles Group accelerated the launch the 49-lot second stage of Macquarie Downs and it has now opened an on-site sales office.
Ms Dunne said the past two weeks had been very busy at the office as the finishing touches were put on and now she was looking forward to reporting some solid sales.
Macquarie Downs Estate is just moments from the soon-to-be upgraded Centenary Highway, 10-minutes from Ipswich CBD and 25 minutes from Brisbane CBD, and close to a proposed railway station site.
Macquarie Downs’ premium lots range from 450 to 803sqm (average 550sqm) and are available as part of Ingles Group’s house and land packages. House and land packages start from $308,000 (average $361,357.14) and buyers can expect to settle into their homes by mid to late 2007.
Ingles Homes’ standard inclusions consist of a lock-up garage, designer kitchen fitted with quality appliances, floor coverings, concrete driveway and paths, full landscaping and fencing, 5000 litre water tank, air conditioning, ceiling fans, security screens, fly screens and window locks, mirror robe doors, vertical blinds, chrome-finish tap ware and bathroom accessories.
Ingles Group Managing Director Graeme Ingles said Ipswich’s rapid growth was fuelling demand for home sites.
“With 78 new residents relocating to Ipswich every week and $10.6 billion of development under way, Ipswich is one of the most exciting and accelerated growth regions in South East Queensland,” Mr Ingles said.
“Over the past 12 months alone, Ipswich has experienced a population growth of 3.7 per cent and the job prospects are booming.
``Orion Shopping Centre will create hundreds of retail jobs; Amberley RAAF Base’s $300 million upgrade will prompt the recruitment of more defence personnel, not to mention the 750 permanent positions that will be available at Swanbank’s $600 million steel mill.
